Went here to sort out my back pain after coming back from an international trip, Shannon was really good! Not only helped ease all the points of tension but also describing to me where in my body the pain is coming from and giving me tips to keep my body from straining. Was able to fully relax despite never having a massage before. Definitely going to come back here if my body starts acting up again!

I had the pleasure of having Shannon as my massage therapist for the first time this week. I was very impressed with her professionalism and her ability to identify and address my specific needs. She used a variety of techniques to help me relax and relieve my pain, and I felt much better after my session. Here are some of the things I appreciated about Shannon: -Her professionalism. She was on time for my appointment, and she was very friendly and welcoming. She made sure to explain the different techniques she would be using, and she asked me if I had any questions or concerns. -Her ability to identify and address my specific needs. The merchant was passive aggressive, made a lot of negative comments like “I think you want years and years and years and years and years of work done in one night” when I simply asked if she could please focus more on my lower back. She kept talking throughout the massage, shaking me as a method, asked when my last massage was which I’ve never been asked before. Simply refused my requests of locations I want done. Through out the session in the first hour after she focused mainly on locations I never requested I asked what time it was and she stated “do you think a lot, because it seems like you’re focused on eevveeryything I’m doing instead of relaxing”. The most relaxing two hours of my life! I recently had the Mamasage at 2nd Skin with Shannon, and it was truly the best gift I could have given myself for Mother’s Day. Shannon is not only an incredibly skilled therapist, but also a beautiful human being with amazing energy. She used a variety of techniques throughout the massage some I had never experienced before, even after years of getting regular massages. Her intuition and touch are exceptional. To top it all off, during the scalp massage, she braided my hair—a sweet and unexpected detail that made me feel so cared for. The entire atmosphere was peaceful and full of good energy. Went to get my 90 mins massage with Shannon yesterday. I’ve been dealing with a horrible back and neck spasm for 2 weeks now and nothing has been able to help it. Shannon was professional and friendly and did an amazing job. I felt so relaxed and the pinching feeling in my back has almost completely went away!! I enjoyed trying cupping for the first time and the hot stones were wonderful. Thank you so much Shannon and I highly recommend going to 2nd Skin for your next massage!
