Aby African Hair Braiding

I was in the city visiting for the weekend and wanted my hair braided. Looked up African braider in the area and this shop popped up. Texted the number for an appt and the lady told me what time I could come in the next day. The ladies were professional and friendly. I loved how they work together to get you in and out. I absolutely loved my hair and it only took 4 1/2 hrs. I will definitely be making that drive again. #10/10

I was a walk in client, and my experience was fairly good. I was greeted and asked for my preferred style as soon as I walked in. I love how neat they are, and they were done in a pretty good time frame.

⸻ I had a very disappointing experience with this braiding company. They did not tuck my natural hair inside the braids, so my real hair was sticking out everywhere. Because of this, I couldn’t wear my hair up at all it looked messy right after leaving. On top of that, the braids were done extremely tight, which was very uncomfortable. I strongly recommend checking your hair carefully before leaving, because the quality and attention to detail were not there for me. I feel I was taken advantage of because I could not see the back (inside) of my hair.

*****Review update***** Started braids on Mar 29th Finished Apr 14th The 2-week lag in getting my braids completed was all me, I just couldn't get back over there due to other obligations. However, when I did schedule to return to finish the hair braiding process, prior to my arrival, I texted Aby and said "on the way" but upon my arrival Aby advised me that her sisters (hair braiders) were heading out for a wedding and she would appreciate if I came back the next day. She said she would do my hair if I refused to wait and return, but she was tired and they were leaving. So I returned Saturday and another lady finished my hair & replaced the 33 braids, yes 33 braids, that had come out within the past 2 weeks. I left knowing I would try another braider and pray for a better outcome. —

Went here for a walk in because my Braider canceled on me. They don’t open til 9am but once I walked in they started right on me and gave me the exact hairstyle I wanted 10/10 experience the ladies were super nice and professional and very fast
