Acclaim Dominican luxury salon

MY HAIR COMPLETELY BROKE OFF IN THE CENTER/TOP and in random spots on my head. I would not recommend. I went here twice (months apart) and I asked for a wash and press. I have type 4 hair. I just moved to philly last year and i put my trust here when i should not have. The last time I went was in march and now in July my hair has grown out an inch or two and my hair is completely straight for about an inch or two after my new growth. I am very upset because my hair finally grew out and now its severely broken off. I like the woman who works there shes nice but i am so sad about my hair. This will take me forever to regrow my hair and I wish I knew not to go back here even tho my initial experience was positive. i am afraid there was something chemical used on me since i dont wear my hair s

Went in for a wash, blow dry and trim. She ended up straightening my hair as well. Be cautious because they do use a lot of heat. Unfortunately the worst part was the trim. The stylist just clipped the bottom of my hair it wasn’t a true trim and it was also uneven. Note it seems like they charge more if you have kinky hair. I was charged $40 for the wash and blow dry and $10 for the trim. Overall the service/attitude of the stylists are fine, but their work is not.

I didn’t like it. Terrible service. I asked for all my split ends cut a basic TRIM. I left with split ends till on my hair and when I came for my scheduled appt I still had to wait 15 mins and she didn’t even know what service I needed. I had to tell them 3 times I just want a trim even though it was scheduled. I came with my hair already washed and blow dried and she blow dried it again and used way too much heat. I don’t understand what was so difficult to understand and then she tried to straighten my hair. I had to show her my appointment confirmation. To show her I wasn’t here for that. That whole appt ruined my day. Don’t come here. 0/10

They move at at fast pace, I never had no complaints with my hair. They are the #1 in West Philly in my opinion, hair will be bone straight just by them blow drying it. The curls they do is beautiful & tight

Upon walking in I said good afternoon to everyone they all looked at me and continued to talk amongst themselves without acknowledging that I just walked in. I told them what I wanted done none of them responded after a moment of silence a younger chick asked what did I mean and they don’t do that... it was a service I’ve gotten before with another stylist that I haven’t seen in a while. I been going here on and off for 3 years off mostly because of this same problem but never again will I step foot in here again. The few friends that I have that come here I will recommend them another shop not to far where the stylist acknowledge you and are professional unlike this place. It’s never busy in there so I don’t understand why they are so rude like your bothering them
