I’ve been coming to Ada’s for maybe 6 years now. I’m from NYC we are big on going to Dominicans for my wash n set and doobie wrap. It’s bone straight, silky and healthy every time THEY HAVE NEVER RELAXED MY HAIR EVER I HAVE BEEN NATURAL FOR OVER 20 YEARS! They have never needed to “sneak” relaxer in to make my hair straight it is technique and heat that gets the job done!!!! I am never disappointed and honestly …. I really don’t play about my hair i never did I’ve always had healthy long natural thick hair my entire life and that has not changed since I’ve been coming here.

Today has been my 3rd bad experience here and the only reason I still come is because they are the ones closest to my house and I have been coming here for 5 years , but now it’s worse. The women here are very rude and nasty. I came in today for a natural wash and set and always pat $60 but today for some reason the wash lady tells me after she washes my hair there will be an additional $20 for detangling. My hair was never tangled !! These women here are making up prices and over charging now since the service has slowed down and less customers are coming. The chemicals they use are also relaxed because my hair remains straight for about 2 weeks and I am all natural, African American. I have been coming here for years and I just want to say I love how attentive and pleasant they are, I will like to also mention, they never added relaxer to coloring my hair. I’m a satisfied customer and I will always return 😊❤️

I got my hair done November 15, for my birthday and washed it on December 3, my hair was relaxed. As I was washing my hair it started to smell like sulfur, and would not return to its natural curl pattern. I haven’t had a relaxer in 15 years. This is so disappointing because I’ve been coming here since I was 13.
