Adja Hair Braiding

I requested smedium (small/medium) knotless braids. I got uneven hair parting and the braids have different lengths. After speaking up to complain that the parts were too big while they were doing the hair, they ignored me and continued to do the hair. The parts are a weird shape I’ve never seen in knotless braids. Not worth the money. What a waste of my time and money. I had the same stylist as Georgia and Theresa in the reviews below, and the stylist is so defensive and is very bad at doing hair. Like she really sucks!! I usually tip well but there was no way I was going to tip for this. This was my third and final time coming here. First two times were good so I’m very disappointed. Avoid at all costs. I knew the style I wanted was entirely overpriced but my trip was the next day and I wasn’t getting any responses from any other shops when calling around. The hairstyle came out super cute, don’t get me wrong, but 3 days later and they have to come out. My scalp has been tender to even lay on ever since. I had to repeatedly tell the braider that she was braiding too tight and she never loosened up. I was in so much pain and she did not care. I’ve never had to tell someone braiding my hair so much that it was too tight so now I will be on vacation with my hair not done and $200 shorter because of a waste of a hairstyle. Wish I could give here 0 star. Let me start by saying this is my 4th time getting braids here and it hasn’t really been the best. The second time I went was last summer 2024 and I had to walked out because I wasn’t getting what I asked for and was being gaslight so bad. The owner facial expression and attitude when a customer has a problem isn’t the best. The 3rd time going I never had a problem. So fast forward to my 4th & last time. I went to the salon on Wednesday June 25 2025 and arrived around 6:30pm and my hair never got started until 7:30pm. I made an appointment in advance for me and my friend, bare in mind it’s my friend’s first time there I told her about them. Upon arriving at our appointment that we booked, the shop was full no one to assist us, mind you every braider just started a client’s hair so clearly there was no one to do ours until maybe the next 5hrs or so. This place is 0 out of 10 for me. When I walked in I wasn’t greeted I had to speak first. My appointment was for 10am I didn’t get into a chair till 11am. I asked for a certain style but my style wasn’t fulfilled. She (the braider) made my braids thicker than I expected she was barely putting gel in my hair I had to keep telling the braider to be neater and she still did her own thing and didn’t listen to my concerns. The gel was barely applied to my scalp smoothly I have gel beads sitting on top of my head because she was too lazy to he’ll both sides of my hair down to get a neater look. So when she finishes with a braid she uses her comb to put gel on top of the braid which look a mess. The braids do not look clean she rushed my hair.
