I’ve been coming here a little over a year and it’s the best braiding salon I’ve found in the DMV since moving. I personally haven’t experienced any significant issues with my styles (only minor ones) my go to is knotless and it seems to be what the do best. But to anyone looking to come in, my only note is when you sit down to start, make it clear what you want and exactly how you want it done! (As this is going to be your style for the next month+) It took me a while to learn this, as every stylist may do things a bit differently and there no guarantee to get the same person each time. I also believe this has been an issue more recently as they’ve implemented a new policy where you must sign an agreement waiver at payment. See photos & captions.

I had such an amazing experience at Aesha Hair Braiding! I got boho knotless braids, and let me tell you, they turned out absolutely gorgeous! The two ladies (unfortunately i did not get their names) who worked on my hair were not only professional but also so friendly and attentive throughout the entire process. They constantly had me check my hair to make sure I liked it, parts are CLEAN and braids are NEAT! If you’re looking for quality, detail, and style, this is the place to go. Aisha Hair Braiding is the best African Braiding shop in the DMV. Hands down. She is a serious business owner and doesn’t play about quality and integrity of the work. She is customer friendly and holds her staff to high standards. I’ve witnessed her require someone’s braids to be taken down and redone for quality. This show provides the hair and allows card payments for a $5 fee. She has great hours, Sun-Thurs 5am-6pm, Fri-Sat 4am-6pm. There are over 30 quality braiders in her shop and it’s calm and chill in the shop. I’ve been coming here for over 16 years- since 2009 and it’s just the best!

I went to get my hair braided. Been there several times never had a bad service but this particular time it was not good. I didn’t like how my hair was done. I had to keep coming back to fix it. Aisha did try and fix but she had to cut it in order to fix it so it became shorter and shorter. I was not happy came back a third time and wanted them out. I had to come out of pocket and pay half off for a service when I had just paid a total of near $400. My hair was only in for 2 and a half weeks. I ended up paying $100 for basic knotless which I do like. But I still feel it was not fear I loss all that money and didn’t get the style I originally asked for. I got my hair braided by Abba and another young woman and I must say this has been the best hair braiding service I’ve had in Maryland by far. It took less than 6 hours to get goddess boho braided medium, waist length. The ladies were diligent and focused on completing my hair the entire tim. They did offer me breaks in case I needed to stand up, so considerate of them. Thanks Aisha’s Hair braiding!
