I've been going to Marlene for over 10 years now, and even though I've gone to other stylists when she wasn't available, I would never trade her! She's such a talented stylist and she actually listens! She has seen me through various different hairstyles in this last decade and she always hits it out of the park. I'm now 85% gray and have let it grow out but not ready to look like a grandma yet...lol. So Marlene added some lowlights and highlights, and created exactly what I had envisioned. Marlene did an amazing job on my hair yesterday and I’ve received many compliments this morning at work. My hair was just blah and lifeless and Marlene gave me a great cut that has just the right amount of volume without being high maintenance. Highly recommend!

Just moved back to Chicago after living away for 9 years. Needless to say, much has changed and I was worried about finding a stylist that would work with my gray curly hair. Lucky me!! I made an appointment with Marlene at AJ's Salon and am so happy I did. Love my cut and really felt at home in this cozy shop on Milwaukee Avenue. I highly recommend Marlene and this salon.

Marlene is FANTASTIC 🌟🌟🌟 & turns out a neighborhood gem for almost 20years - really time for a real haircut (no more kitchen scissors, COVID is over!) & Marlene fixed my uneven mess + gave me a great new length! Will definitely be back!!
