A.K. African Braids

I should’ve gotten my braider’s name. She braided me up in some small pixie braids in 5 hours. What I originally wanted wasn’t going to look nice. I appreciate her. The salon was kids friendly to my 5 year old. The aura was a vibe. I’m definitely returning.

A.K. African braids get a 9/10 review from me. The customer service is amazing. I was completely comfortable. Everyone is so loving and kind caring and respectful. Most of all welcoming.❤️❤️ I paid $300 in cash for small knotless braids, butt length. The only problem I had was making sure that my parts were how I asked ( small ) so please ask to look in the mirror. I also went back the next day to get my braids, even to the length of the rest of my braids( butt length ) I went at 11AM and got done at 9:45 PM, it was mainly one person doing my hair but two other women helped. Thank you all once again see you next time. 🩷🩷

I've been a client for several years now and have never left the shop unhappy. Recently, Astou braided my hair in record time! All of these hard working ladies are warm, professional and talented! I just adore them all!

I came into the shop as a walk in and was given immediate assistance on today. Mary asked what I wanted,asked for a picture,and helped me coordinate a weave color to match my hair color. I came in around 920a and left around 11am. She was constantly braiding my hair, used the perfect amount of jam, very neat parts, very neat braids, her braids are secure but not too tight,& was done within a timely manner. I asked for six stitch/feed-in braids and she delivered effortless. They’ve gained a new customer and I’ll definitely be coming back. This was a pleasant experience. I’d definitely recommend to others.

We had to update our review based on our most recent visit to the salon. Unfortunately, this visit left us with a horrible experience. Our braider did a poor job. Very sloppy, rushed, loose, limited braids, and an overall unprofessional hair braiding job. When we arrived for our scheduled appointment, it appeared our braider began another client. We were offered a different braider, but we declined and insisted we keep our scheduled braider, Ms Miriam. Our visit was not pleasant and as much as we paid for the service, the end result should have been much better! With that being said, we will not be coming back again.
