Alameda Nails

We thought this place was great at first. But, both my daughter and I got fungus under our fingernails! I have attached the photo of my daughter’s nail. The first time when I got fungus I talked to them about it and they just shook their head. Said it was my fault and started speaking Vietnamese. So we stupidly went a couple more times. Today my daughter got her acrylic tips taken off at another salon, and we see that she has fungus under her fingernail as well! I’m so mad. I’ve been going to get my nails done for 40 years and I’ve never even heard of fungus under a fingernail. This place seems really wonderful at first, but they are obviously not following all sterilization rules. A few of the workers are super rude and it is extremely expensive. One of us had gel one of us had acrylic.

Visited here recently to have my nails done for my birthday, and was satisfied with the results ! This had been my first time getting an ombré style on acrylics, along with a specific style/design I wanted. She did it exactly how I visioned it ! ✨ The nail tech took her time to ensure each nail was even, looked great, and made sure I was comfortable. I’d definitely return here with a friend. 💖

The salon itself was very clean and the staff were friendly, which I appreciated. However, I am giving two stars because of the way my gel polish was removed. Instead of fully soaking off the polish, the technician used cuticle cutters to scrape off the remaining gel. This not only left some old polish underneath the new application but also felt unsafe for the health of my nails. Unfortunately, due to this removal method and concern for my nail integrity, I will not be returning.

The nail salon in the neighbourhood located on Encinal Ave in Alameda. Clean and well maintained, staffs are friendly but hardly can speak English. Parking is hard to find. They offer Manicure -Pedicure and Waxing services. The massage chair while you’re having manicure or pedicure is very relaxing. Try their foot spa, it is great! But be sure to leave tips after services, they really demand for it!

Their online booking is pointless. I had booked for my sister to get a gel set and when she arrived, they told her she had to wait another hour for it because they only had one person available that can do the acrylics, and they were already with another client. So she went ahead and got a regular gel pedicure and the results weren't even that great. She wanted to get black nails with gold tips and they didn't even do enough gold. They mostly look black. If you want to try this place I'd recommend calling instead of their website. Really disappointed with the results and service.
