Alex Emilio Salon

After trying a number of salons in Metro Detroit, Alex Emilio in Royal Oak is my forever place. I love Mary - She is a genius with color and her cuts are amazing. I always feel so well-taken care of by everyone at every AE visit.

Some girlfriends and I attended the BYOB event at Alex Emilio recently. We walked away with more knowledge of how to use the products and tools we have at home to recreate a "salon" look. Honestly, I thought I was using the tools I have correctly until I had a lesson at the event! We all walked away with a goody bag of products, more knowledge, and a memorable evening. The staff was so kind and welcoming from the receptionist to ownership. I will definitely be back!

The best salon I’ve ever been to all around. The owners are wonderful and personable. The girls at reception are so kind and friendly. The atmosphere is chic and still very warm and inviting. High end without being the slightest bit stuffy. I’ve been with them since they were at their first Royal Oak location, and I’ve been seeing the same absolutely lovely and talented stylist (Brooklyn) for cut and color even longer than that. If you’re looking for a new hair home, this is it!

I have been coming to Alexemilio‘s salon for well over three years now. It is always the highlight of my month to come and get my hair done and see the wonderful staff. Sarah does a wonderful job styling my hair and recommending one treatment as I need to keep my hair healthy. I highly recommend!

Emilio at Alex Emilio Salon always, without fail does a truly wonderful color and haircut for me and makes me look and feel beautiful!!! He is a very special person and an incredible stylist, and he is a true gem…..and always provides the upmost professional level of service…. He is the premiere reason I fly in several times a year from California to have him personally make my hair look absolutely perfect! I absolutely love this salon, everyone is so very sweet and kind, they are also super friendly….I have been coming to Emilio for years ! It is one of the highlights of my time in Michigan. ❤️
