Amavi The Salon

I asked for a layered haircut and showed pictures of what I want. The hairdresser was listening carefully and I thought she understood what I want. I didn’t get it. I didn’t get any layers whatsoever. I paid for their TOP hairstylist as well. As soon as the haircut was over, I thought I will see layers once I style them with a round brush at home since she dried my hair using a LARGE barrel, so I assumed that they just don’t properly style hair, or at least make tips curly. Speaking of hair tips, they were choppy and not thinned out. I assumed it’s because they weren’t styled yet (at the hair salon?), so I went home to style my hair. There were no layers. Face framing layers that I asked for were just a few short hair strands by the face. The ends were still thick and choppy. I will attach

I’ve been coming to Amavi since their Williamsburg days, and I’ve always loved the quality of their services. I usually get my ends trimmed, my bangs shaped, and sometimes one of their restorative treatments, which even includes extra vials to use at home. I first discovered Amavi through a friend’s recommendation, and I’ve been a fan ever since—but this last visit was truly exceptional. Samantha did an amazing job! She was so patient while drying my hair (I have a lot of it!) and styled it beautifully. I even asked her to recreate the style she was wearing because she looked so pretty, and she absolutely nailed it! Jackie did an AMAZING job with my hair color!!!!! Seriously in love. I was a little nervous to make the leap to lighter hair, but she took the time to really get a good vision of what I wanted and brought it to life. The best part is my hair and waves still feel really healthy. Also love my cut. Already can’t wait to go back!

I'm so happy my stylist is back in Queens! I finally got a chance to see the new salon and get a haircut. My stylist is Kristen, she's been cutting and styling my hair for years. She always does an amazing hair cut and her blow drys are the best. Sometimes I'll have her add some curls because she's amazing at it, they look great and last days. The new salon is gorgeous! It's so sleek and upscale (And their coffee maker is a bonus for me!) I love it here. I can easily spend the whole day getting pampered. if you're thinking of trying a new salon then look no further Ladies!

I had the most amazing experience at Amavi! Sam always does such a great job with my hair. The entire staff at Amavi is incredibly kind and welcoming, and the salon itself is so beautiful and inviting. Sam took the time to talk with me about my hair goals and what I wanted to achieve. She walked me through the entire process, making sure I was comfortable and informed every step of the way.
