I was quoted $55 dollars for a dip powder manicure but it turns out that what I needed was an acrylic refill. I was under the impression I had dip powdered tips & so I was already seated & work had begun by nail technicians when I was told I needed an acrylic refill. I was given a re-quote. They stated an acrylic refill with gel or non gel polish was $75 plus tax. Like I said, the nail technician had already started working on my nails & so I wasn’t given much of a choice. I was happy with results & the nail tech who I believe is named Nary is very good but I will not be returning as an acrylic refill at Ambient is extremely over priced. My wife came here for her nails and I went with her — and honestly, I was super impressed. Vicky, the owner, really knows what she’s doing. She kept checking to make sure my wife was happy with how her nails looked and made any adjustments right away. The place is spotless and the service is top-notch. It’s easy to see why they’re always busy — Vicky even takes appointments so you don’t have to wait. Hands down the best nail salon in Hell’s Kitchen!

i only go to Ambient for my sets, i asked Lucy if we could do something with polka dots and some shine…she whipped up the dreamiest set ever, it looks like my nails are literally glass beads!! they were quite pricey…. ($160ish with tip) BUT my last set from ambient lasted me TWO MONTHS with no scratching or chipping!! quality acrylic and skills here!

I really love this nail salon! All of the ladies are so nice and it’s SPOTLESS CLEAN and spacious. Anna did my mani today and it’s PERFECTION. I’m so picky about my manicures and honestly this is one of the best I’ve had in years. This is my neighborhood salon and I’m so happy I found this spot and will be coming back regularly.
