American Mortals

I usually cut my own hair (I am not a professional by any sense of the word) however, when I want to change up my style I go to American Mortals and always get an absolutely stunning haircut and much needed self care. Every time I have gone to American Mortals I’ve seen a different stylist, and every single stylist is as skilled as the last. Most recently I saw Layla, and they were excellent! She understood my vision and was great at asking questions to drill down on the exact style I was looking for. Additionally, she was so enjoyable to talk to and felt like hanging with a friend while getting an amazing haircut.

i had such a nice time with Kait and she gave me such a good cut! i finally feel like ME again. one of my coworkers, who only knew me with my longer hair, told me how much she loved the new cut, and how she felt like she was "seeing me for the first time." it really hit me hard, in a good way. definitely feeling more confident, more me, and gender affirming for sure. thanks again to Kait, so sweet and kind and funny - she was a treat to spend time with and i'll be looking forward to my next cut with her!

Kylie is so talented! She always knows just what cut would work best for my hair. Which is not easy because my hair is thin and fine but it looks full and great every time I leave the salon. Thank you so much Kylie! I also wanted to mention how nice the rest of the staff is, it is always a pleasure being at American Mortals.

I had such a wonderful experience with Brendan. I really felt listened to. I don’t usually enjoy going to hair salons but this experience was different and I will certainly be coming back! Thank you so much for everything. All staff was also really nice. :) 11/10
