Nice, quiet and clean shop (Harlem location) but it took 6 hours and 30 minutes for Amy the owner to do 20 straight backs!! The straight backs with a little curve at the start. I could have gotten box braids instead but who knows how long I would’ve been there for. One of the slowest braiders I have ever encountered. Amy sent the only worker she has home because she told them she would not need help with my hair. She definitely needed the help and y'all she used like 5 packs for 20 straight backs smh. I was going to give this location and owner another shot but the customer service is poor. When I called two different days to schedule they were “busy.” Additionally, even text communication is poor. Long wait time for a text back and eventually unresponsive. Amy has been doing my hair for almost 3 years now, and she is literally the sweetest. She always checks in to make sure you are comfortable and she is willing to get to know her customers. The shop itself is just as lovely as her, very neat and beautifully decorated. You should definitely book with Amy.

I’ve been getting my hair braided by Amy for 3 years, even before she got her own shop. She’s very nice and does great work. I prefer quiet beauty experiences and that’s what I get at this shop. Never a lot of chaos and they do really good work. She’s always able to work with me on availability and the shop is always clean. I mostly go for boho braids, knotless braids, and cornrow styles but she has done a natural style with twists for me once that was really cute. As long as Amy is braiding hair, I know where I’ll be going for braids.

I came to Amy because I was trying to avoid the tik tok hair braided with the poor shop conditions and inconsistencies. The shop was very clean, VERY QUIET!!! And drama free. I was very satisfied with my hair it was just as the picture I showed her. Parking in the area is a bit annoying so if you drive get there early enough to give yourself time to find parking.

Been here a few times and I've had the best service! Very gentle, they don't braid overly tight, they don't rush! My hair has even grown since I’ve started coming here. Never over crowded. Such a comfortable experience and my braids always come out beautiful!! Well worth the travel..
