Amy’s African Hair Braiding

I’ve traveled here twice from Cleveland, OH to get my hair braided and I plan to come here every time! Both times I came in at 6a and was out of the shop before 10a. The ladies are very friendly, accommodating, and check on you as they braid your hair. The first time I got boho knotless braids (waist length/small-medium size) and the second time I got regular knotless braids (waist length/small size). They provide the hair (but you have to provide your own boho hair). My hair is neat and the parts are clean. 10/10 I recommend this braiding shop everytime! Fatima and Angela were my braiders, they did a great job.

The braids are everything! I was in and out within 7 hours and I had to be washed and blow dried at the shop. I do not recommend getting your hair washed here at all. They washed my head in about 3 minutes and poorly blow dried it. It was a very painful experience because my hair wasn’t in any condition to be braided. I wish I could go back and wash/blow dry it myself. Outside of that the braids themselves are neat, symmetrical and so pretty. I absolutely them. Will be going back for sure.

I went in to get my hair braided and baybeee… I should’ve stayed home 😩 Got there at 8:30am and didn’t leave till 1 o’clock. The braids are just okay but the way they cut my ends? Horrible. One braid already slipping out in the back like it’s trying to escape 💀 I paid almost $200 for this, and that lil $200 ain’t about 💩 ‘cause I won’t ever be back. The shop is a mess, unorganized, and it’s like nobody knows what’s going on. And PLEASE — don’t let the older ladies touch your hair 🙅🏽‍♀️ they be cutting like it’s arts and crafts ✂️😂 I really hate how my hair turned out at the end. Do better, seriously.

I had an amazing experience at Amy’s Hair Braiding on 5th Ave in Columbus, Ohio. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and taken care of. The stylists were professional, friendly, and clearly very skilled at what they do. They completed my hair in about 4 hours, which was impressive given the quality and detail of the braids. My hair came out neat, clean, and exactly how I wanted it. The parts were precise, the braids weren’t too tight, and everything looked fresh and flawless. The atmosphere was comfortable, and they worked efficiently without rushing. I left feeling confident and happy with my hair. I would definitely recommend Amy’s Hair Braiding to anyone looking for quality braids and great service in Columbus. I’ll for sure be coming back!

This is my second time coming to Amy’s Hair Braiding, and once again, the experience was excellent. I drive two hours to get here and arrive as soon as they open—and it is absolutely worth the drive every time. The service is consistently great. All of the ladies are kind, polite, and welcoming, and they truly make you feel comfortable from the moment you walk in. They are very transparent about pricing, explain costs upfront, and always let you know about any specials they have going on. The environment is warm and welcoming, and the professionalism really stands out. I highly recommend Amy’s Hair Braiding to anyone looking for quality service and a great experience. I’ll definitely be back!
