Amy's African Hair Braiding

Came here a couple of days ago. They were extremely accommodating on a short notice. My favorite thing about this shop is how quick the other braiders are willing to step in to help. At one point there were 3 people working on my hair at once. They did a great job. I know that these braids are going to last!

If your getting extra small knotless for $350 they will literally only make the back and the front small and leave the middle parts big. Go somewhere else if that’s what you want. Second time! I drove back after talking to Amy to try to resolve the issue and mind you I live in st Pete fl. The team informed me that Amy was not there and that they did not see any issue with the size. She said they are all the same size and it’s braided down to the bottom. The issue is I paid $350 for extra small and these are regular parts. The staff is rude and unhelpful. If they call the resolve the issue save your gas and time.

I have come to Amy’s African Braidings since I was in the 6th grade. I am now 36 years old! Awesome service is an understatement.

My son’s first time getting hair braided from someone else and the last time. He doesn’t have full head of hair just top. Very pricey and I tipped just for service. They were not nice don’t mention price before braiding. he didn’t like his hair neither did I.two braids were frizzy. In the same day asked could they do it over and of course they sucked their teeth. She did them over and left his hair sticking up no rubber band to put them up in the style he left with.

My hair is beautiful. They squeezed me in for a last minute appointment. I wanted butterfly locs but they do not do that here. Mainly standard braids and kinky twists and a few others. Let me tell you... I am beyond pleased with my results. I got some kinky twists and bought the hair from the hairstore next door. Highly recommend.
