I really wanted a Manicure today and tried to reach this salon. I called twice & it went to AI voicemail. The 3rd time I called, a woman answered, put me on hold immediately and then was snippy to me. Yuck, who needs that?

Acqua Nails was the spot back in the day, but it has since taken a turn. The ladies seem unhappy and irritable, the prices are wayyyy too steep and the vibe is just not good in the salon. I paid $70 before tip for a gel pedicure and I just went to nail design in Bethesda and paid $53 for the same quality gel pedicure. Please lower your prices, Aqua Nails! I live so close but I go out of my way to other places because your prices are unfair and your staff is unfriendly.

Absolutely ruined my eyebrows, Never get waxed here. My acrylic nails were fine, but I have never had a worse experience with eyebrow waxing. The woman waxing me told me I could not get more waxed off my eyebrows when I told her I did not like them because she said it would be "uneven". I followed her advice, however, after leaving I realized both of my eyebrows were entirely different shapes and lengths. I could have done it better myself. Now I have to attend a very important event with ugly eyebrows

I go to this salon every few weeks for a regular pedicure and manicure. I actually don’t go anywhere else these days, so not sure how the prices compare. It does seem fairly expensive to me these days, but everything seems to be. I have had my share of manicures and pedicures in my life, and I think this place is good. It’s clean and hygienic. Some of the techs are better than others, and I do feel like the services are sometimes rushed. But I definitely don’t think the one star reviews are at all warranted.

It’s not like it used to be, technicians rush the jobs, prices are higher. A regular manicure last about 4 days. Lady at the front door has bad manners. The selection of nail polish is ample and the store is nice and pretty clean. Some technicians are better than others. It’s convenient to come here because of the parking space and because they almost always have availability.
