10000/10 experience. Jacob is a lovely man and a true professional. I have never dyed my hair a non natural color before and he was great through phone calls, texts, gave me the run down when I got to the salon and did a truly phenomenal job. It’s been 3 weeks since my appointment and somehow my hair keeps getting better each day. Jacob took the time to give advice, help me pick a color and style for my hair that fits my face, and educate me on hair maintenance and care to keep it as healthy as possible. I will 100% be coming back!

I took a leap of faith and tried this (for me new) hair salon for base color and full head balayage a couple of weeks ago. Jacob was nothing but professional. Transparent pricing, great customer service (he is very kind and happy to chat, but also not overbearing), listened to what I was looking for and delivered an absolutely amazing result. I genuinely wasn’t able to properly articulate what I wanted, but he delivered exactly what I was hoping for. The services are expensive, but not more than what other high end salons in Manhattan charge and from what I experienced, definitely of better quality and without the pretentious attitude. So I definitely recommend!!

Arya Hair Salon is hands down the best hairstylist in the city. Jacob has been cutting my hair since 2014 and after visiting his new location for the first time I had to write a review. The salon is fantastic, super clean and feels like you’re in a penthouse. Not only that but Jacob treats your hair like an artwork of his and doesn’t stop until every strand of hair is perfect to your own desires.

We had a wonderful experience at Arya! My daughter's hair, dyed purple at the tips, came out perfectly and Jacob was amazing. I rarely see my daughter as happy as she was admiring her new look. We will definitely be back!

I strongly recommend avoiding this salon. From the very first interaction, the experience felt off. The man who answered the phone was rude and dismissive. Already into a few seconds of the call, he made a snotty sarcastic remark which was unprofessional but i ignored it. I still ended up booking a hair coloring appointment, especially because of the reviews. Fast forward to a few days later, I was notified randomly that I had to do an emergency coverage for my coworker, so I needed to reschedule — mind you, this was BEFORE the appointment time. When I originally booked, the policy stated that I would be charged if I CANCELED, not if I rescheduled. I called to reschedule, but no one answered, so I left a voicemail. A few minutes later, I received an email saying I had been charged $229 f
