Astan African Hair Braiding

I had a really good experience here. Comfortable environment and good, funny people. I absolutely love my hair. I haven’t had good braids in such a long time. It is so neat and pretty. Flawless. My Braider was Angel and her name is exactly what she is. Absolute beautiful soul. I love that they will tell you when something will not look right before you start and suggest options. They show you their work throughout the braiding so you can say if you like it or not. It seems like walk ins are better and go early as they get busy throughout the day. I got medium knotless. I caught the $200 special.

Went for the first time yesterday for the knotless and I love them . The lady that did my hair was so sweet . I was the last client to leave the shop all the ladies stayed until my Lyft came . I Highly recommend. ❤️

I had a very nasty experience today. I was scheduled for an appointment for 4pm today and I got there only to be told without any remorse or courtesy that for some reasons she can't make my hair. I explained that I came all the way from Winter Haven but she just bluff me aside. I felt very bad and disappointed. This is not the way to do business 👎👎👎

Went there as a Saturday late afternoon walk-in after driving two hours. But I will say the drive was well worth it! I only had to wait 20 minutes and my stylist got right to it. I got small braids and it took about five hours. The shop reminds me of shops I used to go to in New York and I am so very happy I found them! Highly recommend

I came in last Saturday (walk-in) for box braids. The woman there said she couldn't do it til later in the day (absolutely fine as I didn't have an appointment). My hair was done faster than I've ever had it braided previously. The braids are beautiful, clean, neat. The women in the shop were funny, welcoming, and a joy to be around. Will only be going to this shop from now on. Best shop in Lakeland!
