Astou African Hair Braiding

I’ve been here before and paid $280 for this same exact style. When I tried to book again, I was told it would be $360. I’ve also had situations where I was quoted one price on the phone and then given a different price when I showed up. The braiding itself is good, but the prices change too much for the same styles. It’s inconsistent and unprofessional, which is why I won’t be booking again.

I have been coming to Astu since she opened 24years ago she is the best Africa braiding shop in the area. She has always been kind and friendly my daughter is also now a customer for the last 6 years and the ladies at this shop has always made sure she is comfortable they work well with children. I recently got Boho Knotless Braids and was impressed by how gentle the stylist was with my hair. The braids are neat, natural-looking, and perfectly done without any discomfort or tightness. This place is so unprofessional! Got a sew in that was absolutely damaged, they left a big gap on the top of my head! Then refused to fix it! The worker didn’t have no clue on how to do a sew in which ruined my 400$ hair! Go back two weeks later and as me and owner Kevin had discussed he will fix the issue and I told him I needed it token down due to tracks coming out and braids pulling! He stated it was ok when I go back I get box braids which he tried to over charge me and than going to tell me the previous hairstyle didn’t have nothing to do with the current which was the only reason why I returned!
