Authentic Beauty Salon & Spa

Ive been coming to Authentic beauty salon for the last 5 months. And i must say that it has been the best hair experience i have ever had. The women here are amazing. Their knowledge about hair, skin and culture keeps you wanted to know more about your self. Their loving personalities make you feel at home. Each individual that enters the shop is greeted with a smile. I can go on and on about my know new second family but it would be better to visit...ks.

The staff are amazing! When I came I had never dyed my hair before and was a little nervous but they were so warm and compassionate, and gave reasonable suggestions to help take care of my hair. It came out beautifully, and I plan to go back soon for my third appointment. Would highly recommend!

There are people who say that the services are overpriced but people MUST understand that these ladies are LICENSED HAIR COSMETOLOGISTS. Not some random women you found off of instagram because they are cheaper. These people have more of a right to charge more for their experience and knowledge. Unlike some other people that expect famous hairstylist prices when they haven’t even taken the proper steps to go to school and INVEST in their trade.

these ladies are amazing. i felt at home and they do all types of natural hair, including locs! they make you feel special. i went with my friend for her wedding hair appointment and even though i was not expecting to get my hair done they helped me take down my hair (which i had put up in our cleaners the night before) and moisturized it for me. they didn't even ask me to pay! i live several hours away but my friend is only an hour or two away so i will go back when i go visit my friend. the other girls i was with looked amazing when their hair was done. the wedding photos came out perfect!

This was my first visit. I'm new to the New Haven area. Paulette does a wonderful hair wash/massage. I wasn't use the style she gave me. But I was satisfied with the service I received. I called Paulette Saturday morning. She booked me for 12:30pm that day.
