AWA African Hair Braiding

I have been at this salon multiple times over the past few years. I have NEVER had such dishonest service as I had today. I asked for small Marley twists full length with the roots braided. I was told that the braiding hair I provided was "too long.” Braiding hair is never too long. I specified that I did NOT want knotless and only to find out I have multiple knotless braided roots scattered throughout my hair. Dishonesty #1. Dishonesty #2, I paid specifically for small twists, the ENTIRE back of my hair is medium sized but it was STRATEGICALLY hidden by the Dishonest braider under the small twists put at the top of my head. This is the third time I have gotten small Marley twists from this salon and although this time I had a different stylist, I would never expect the outcome I received.

I have never posted anything bad on a salon , the owner is expensive and does bad hair I spent more than a $100 on something I would have gotten for $60. She doesn’t know how to braid and this will be my last time going there waste of money and of scalp

The stylists are very nice and they work quickly, but you have to buy and bring your own hair. As someone who doesn't get braids regularly, I have no idea what I need or how much. Also, the shop is neat, but they have a roach problem -- and both my daughter and I are allergic.

Owner is very professional, polite, accommodating, and braids very well. I’ve gotten my hair braided twice, and just had them do my daughter’s hair. They are definitely my new braiding spot!

awful would not recommend. Fatou when she was there did hair amazing braids. Workers are rude, owner doesn't know how to braid properly. If you want better quality braids go to Yacines on Huguenot Street. Sally and the crew will definitely do your hair justice!!!
