BamBam’s Dread City

Today was the first time going to this Salon. I wanted a detox for my locs. My appointment time was 9:30am with Lavern. I arrived at 9:30 and she wasn’t there. No one greeted me as I came into the salon and there were 2 stylists there. After about 5 minutes one stylist asked me who I was there for I told her Lavern and she told me she will be in shortly. I could barely hear her because the music was very loud. After about 10 minutes Lavern showed up with another lady. She never once introduced herself after she got herself settled, she looked at me and told me to come with her. We went into the back where the wash stations were and she had me sit in the first chair and then left not explaining what she was going to do. She came back with the supplies she needed for my hair. Absolutely love the experience here. Crystal is my stylist but all the young ladies are very talented with their hands. If your looking for a great place to get you locs done I highly recommend this place.

Let me start of by saying very unprofessional and rude ladies work here. They gossip about the clients and about each other every time I’ve been in here. I wouldn’t be surprised if they said things about me as well. I had two different people do my hair here. Kween was very rude so I stopped going to her. I started going to Crystal for my wash and retwist. On several occasions, I came early to my appointment and she was late or still had a client in her chair. She also would leave immediately after putting me under the dryer for whatever reasons, leaving someone else to finish the job. This very last time I went, she rushed my hair because she showed up to my appointment 30 minutes late. My hair came unraveled the same day. I always love getting my hair done here! I’ve been a client for a while now, and the service is always great. Bam goes above and beyond to make sure you’re happy. They make you feel like you’re at home with their hospitality. I highly recommend them.

New to this ship. I was recommended by my auntie who had got her hair done here and it looked it beautiful. I booked the appointment online and I got Tay. She did a great job. She even educated me about my scalp which I loved and when that happened it made me comfortable and confident about my hair stylist being in my head. I would definitely recommend and I am definitely coming back. Pricing was affordable for a retwist that came with a wash. Update got Ms. Laverne this time. The whole shop got skills. They will get you back right or style you.
