Bare Necessities Tanning Salon & Day Spa

Do not come here. Poor job for a custom spray tan. My entire forearm and parts of upper arm were missed, portions of the feet were missed resulting in uneven color. Her excuse was “that area is naturally lighter than the rest of our bodies for everybody”. She also charged me $30 higher than the previous 2 times I’ve been in there, despite me getting the exact same type/tan package. When I went a few days ago, I had forgotten my bikini at home and said that I enjoy tan lines especially on my chest area. So I asked if I could go home and get it then come right back, her response was “well this would fall under the last minute reschedule policy so it would be a $15 charge”. Michelle is wonderful and knows her stuff. My boyfriend and I both got spray tans prior to a trip and both our tans were even, no streaking or dark spots, lasted the full time of our trip and didn’t look orange at all! Even on our palms and feet which I’ve always had with past spray tans. Michelle really cares and gives very clear and helpful instructions. Highly recommend.

Had a really bad custom air brush spray tan. I do not recommend using this facility for an airbrush spray tan. Entire sections of my legs and arms are not tan. Not only was it a poor job, I called to cancel my next appointment, and told her the situation (the lady that sprayed me and owns the business) and they were happy to cancel without offering to make anything right. Customer service goes a long way.

I've never done any kind of tanning before, but my soon-to-be MIL and I had an amazing experience here today. I have the blessing/curse of being a licensed cosmetologist and an overthinker. Which meant in the days leading up to our appointment, I was literally up at night stressing. "Will the place be clean and well-ventilated? Do I need to wear clothes that can get ruined? I'm a pale redhead, is this even going to look good on me? How do I keep my leather car seats from getting ruined on the drive home? The place has great reviews but since I'm new to tanning will it be awkward?" Etc... Google was able to answer some of my questions, but just like going to any kind of salon for the first time, there's some things you just don't know until you get there. I am so impressed with the cleanliness and quality of services here. The owner is amazing and made sure I got the best tanning package for what I needed and at the best price. I am here visiting from Florida and I wish this was my salon back home! I definitely recommend to give this business a try and check out the many services she offers.
