BC Hair Braiding

This is my third set of medium knotless braids and I’ve had Lemonade braids, from BC Hair Braiding, and I honestly can’t imagine going anywhere else! From the moment I walked in a year ago after moving from Baltimore, I felt right at home. The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and full of sweet, positive energy. Amy, the owner, is truly a gem, she’s become like family to me. Her spirit is beautiful, and the care she puts into her work shows. The braids are always neat, secure, and stylish and as someone who’s very tender-headed, I really appreciate that they don’t hurt at all! That’s rare to find, and it’s one of the reasons I keep coming back. If you’re looking for a place that values both professionalism and genuine care, BC Hair Braiding is it. I’m so grateful I found them!

I have been coming here for the last 3 plus years. I have gotten knotless, box braids and microbraids and they always come out neat. The owner makes sure she has her best raiders. They are neat and efficient. 5 plus stars. I'll always come back no matter what side of town I live.

My honest review on BC hair braiding I paid $250 for small mid back (she gave me extra length which I’m thankful for) length boho braids. I had to bring my own boho, which was no big problem. My experience was a 6.5/10 I cannot remember the lady’s name who did my hair, but I DO remember she had a younger daughter. I personally don’t mind braiders working with their kids because… understandable. but her daughter was extremely whiny. The daughter was so close to the mom and the mom was so close to me therefore, the daughter was just whining in my ear, and it was extremely annoying and extremely unpleasant. (The worst part is, most of the time the mom just let her whine) The braider did do a good job on my hair and she did it pretty fast as well, 7 hours. Though with one thing she is heav

If you value your natural hair and scalp, please avoid this place (or advocate strongly for yourself during your appointment). Despite me telling them multiple times, they did not listen when I told them to not make the braid so tight. Had a bad itch and pain for 2 weeks b/c of this. They are also rough with handling your hair. They used too much gel on my hair and proceeded to roughly comb the gelled hair with those really tiny combs (which as a natural, you know to avoid those types of combs). So of course it caused way more hair to be combed out than normal. The reviews of this place looked so promising but my experience was the first time I’ve had a bad braiding experience in years! Please Avoid!!!

I absolutely love my boho braids! They came out so neat and beautiful, and I’ve gotten so many compliments already. The stylist was very informative throughout the process, which made me feel comfortable and confident in my choice. I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend to anyone looking for gorgeous, professional braids!
