Beach Bum Tanning

Super weird interaction with a staff member at this location. The bed I usually use had a wait (totally fine) so I wanted to downgrade, was told I could not do the full time in the bed below for the full 12 minutes (red not bronze) I’m Hawaiian and if the bed goes up to 12 minutes, why can’t customers do the full 12? I have seen places have you sign a waiver but to charge a set price and tell me I can’t do the full time doesn’t make sense. I’d recommend south beach tanning, their staff is amazing.

The two blonde ladies Carli and Amy were fabulous at helping me at the counter! If I can give them 10 stars I would! They went above and beyond with answering all my questions and were extremely sweet.

What happened to beach bum? Went downhill. Staff needs to be trained better, eveytime I go in I’m always hearing something different with my account. Switched my diamond membership over to a spray tan which I’m told will not be affective until next month….The girl that switched over my account charged me $10 for the spray session and said it will be $10 for each session, I was fine with that even through I’m paying $100 a month and have to pay for spray tan additional which I think is bad customer service, diamond level gets you no perks. I go in today and this girl is telling me the spray tan will be $40 and I can spray in the meantime until my membership becomes effective for $21 that she has no idea why the other girl charged me $10. I have been going to Beach Bum Tanning for many years. I never had a bad experience with them other than maybe waiting a few minutes for an employee to finish a spray tan on another customer. This was before new management came in. It has been several months now that new management took over in April which allows me enough time to give a fair review. The changes Tony the manager and his assistant manager Aeleen have done are very nice. The staff is nice and welcoming, good selection of tanning beds and filling the lobby with cute merchandise is a added plus.

Honestly, I had no issue with this company for years - I was a customer for YEARS - until I decided to come back to it and start up a membership again for unlimited monthly tanning 2 months ago. It was $234 and on top of that they charged me for $271 the next time I was there for some reason. I had a tragic family emergency, after I’d tanned maybe 6 times in a week and a half - only - then asked the management to make an exception since I’m dealing with a family sickness and death (clearly haven’t been in there) and instead of do that, I’m told that the contract is solid and I’ve officially paid $234 + $92 for at most - 6 tans (haven’t been there in over a month and a half).
