i was a new client here. joyce was my nail tech. i had a good experience with the service itself - she was very gentle with my nails, meticulous, and detail oriented. i came in with a sketch and showed her what i wanted and she executed it beautifully! i’m very happy with my results. i recommend her for her artistry *** i had an issue with the payment breakdown and was initially overcharged, but i contacted serena the manager and she quickly resolved it with me which i truly appreciate. i urge new clients (especially those that don’t get their nails done often like me) that are unfamiliar with nail jargon to clarify your budget prior to committing to a set. for example, i wasnt aware that chrome was $40, but now i know to clarify for next time.

DO NOT GO HERE. They encourage you to pay through Venmo so that when their poor quality material and work fails you cannot get a refund. The owner Serena is greedy and rude. I cancelled an appointment after explaining that my aunt passed away and they still charged me $80 for the missed appointment. Despite this I booked another appointment for which I was charged $104.50. Mind you this was a single color gel refill which they list as $80 on their website. Just another scam. Now those nails have begun lifting and chipping. I sent Serena an email asking to be refunded and she has refused to refund me for the missed appointment or for the broken nails. Terrible and evil people like this do not deserve to be in business.

Iris is the absolute best! I’ve been coming here for almost a year and I’ve never been disappointed. The ladies at Beautopia are great and if you’re looking for a well done, appropriately priced manicure (or pedicure), you should be coming here.

Emily @emi_gloss is one to watch! This was my second time ever getting gel polish, and I came in with vague ideas and impossible expectations to fix my super brittle nails and make it look understated but glamorous. Emily basically read my mind with her interpretation using an ombré rose gold glitter and tiny flower appliqués. She was careful and attentive, checking with me and Erica, another nail artist who weighed in on feasibility, using her brilliantly creative eye to make mini masterpieces on my baby nails. She adapted along the way, trying new techniques and colors that just came in to achieve my dreams. And she made it fun for me, matching my energy and following up to be sure I was happy. An Amazing Crew I've been going to Serena since September 2023. She is, in a word, a magician. She has taken the inspo pics I've shared with her--including lacquer tables, dresses, Chihuly artwork, paintings, the Mandarin duck, wallpaper patterns--and made them come to life on my nails. Her work exceeds all expectations. Every. Single. Time. A professional opportunity required I relocate to the west coast, a move that I lamented in part because I wouldn't be able to receive monthly services from Serena. I may be a little kooky for this, but I take trips to NYC every quarter to get my northeastern fix, and a visit to Beautopia is always on the schedule. She's not a nail tech. She's a nail artist. And she has assembled a team of individuals whom I am confident will be comparably as talented
