Beauty World(682 Herndon)

I’ve been going to Beauty World for well over 15 years, mainly because they were the only beauty supply store in this area. Today was the final straw. The constant watching of customers and the overall lack of customer service feels prejudiced and uncomfortable. I will not be returning. I literally purchased an item, realized within minutes that it wasn’t the correct one, and attempted to exchange it, with my receipt in hand. The male employee, approximately 40–50 years old, who had rung me out less than five minutes earlier, proceeded to lecture me about their “no exchange” policy. Based on principle alone, I chose not to exchange the item. Do yourself a favor and take the extra drive further north. Your business will be better appreciated elsewhere.

Terrible experience. I strongly do NOT recommend Beauty World. This store sells synthetic and human-hair wigs, but their policies are unbelievable for the United States. No returns, no exchanges, and almost no ability to try anything on. People come here with real personal struggles, trying to find a wig that will help them feel a little more confident. A wig is not a hat — it’s a sensitive, emotional purchase. But this place treats it as if it means nothing. They allowed me to try only 2–3 wigs, and when I carefully tried on a fifth one, the sales associate told me I had “no right to try more.” Meanwhile, the quality of their wigs is far from impressive. This behavior is unacceptable. I was a real customer, ready to spend real money, but after such treatment I walked out and refused to

I have been going to this beauty store for years. The store owners are friendly, well stocked store and clean. I’ve had a great experience each time.

I’m not asking for a refund, but I want you to understand something clearly: charging customers for items they did not buy is stealing. I bought five items, yet you charged me for six. This kind of behavior is dishonest and destroys trust. People work hard for their money—don’t take advantage of them. Please make sure this never happens again
