Bebe’s Hair Braiding in Newark is truly amazing! The service was excellent from start to finish, and the braiding was completely painless — not even a little discomfort. My hair came out beautiful, neat, and exactly how I wanted it. If you’re looking to get your hair braided, this is the place to go. They do an incredible job every time. I recommend Bebe’s a thousand percent!

I drive a little over an hour to Newark to get my hair braided for quality & convenience. The 1st time I went here, the lady did well. So I went back a 2nd time & got the same style but they charged me $20 more & a week later 1 of the cornrows fell out. I let it go & still went back to them. My 3rd encounter was good, simple cornrows. My 4th encounter I let a different lady (the owner BeBe) do my hair & it came out uneven. I wasn't happy with the quality. (which is the pic I uploaded)! She said next time she'll give me a discount & charge $60 for my inconvenience. When that time came, she tried charging $80. I gave her $70 & will not go back. Ya'll can be the judge of the pic whether or not Ya'll would pay for their quality. They're friendly though.

Settled with this place because they did box braids instead of knotkess and my box braids started slipping out 16 days in and my hair is to my shoulders. The front braids I asked for small cornrows like the photo I showed and and got huge braids that don’t match the photo I showed. When I went back for a refreshment on my braids that should have lasted at least a month but only lasted 16 days (that’s being nice my hair looks like it’s been in for a month and a half even with me tying it down nightly) she quoted me more than half what I paid for the hairstyle originally. I have attached what I asked for versus what I got. They literally just do whatever they want in your hair.

I called on a Monday or Tuesday to schedule an appointment for my daughter for Friday morning. Bebe and the other ladies were very pleasant. My daughter had a picture of her style. Bebe started her hair so we weren't just sitting while waiting for the other lady to arrive. My daughter and I are both happy with the end results

I called Bebe on a Tuesday to book my hair appointment for Thursday at 8AM. I confirmed with her via text. This would be the 3rd time using her service. I said I wanted her to work on my hair as I have said every time. She said, “Yes! Yes! Thursday!” I get to the shop at 7:45AM. I waited until 8:05, because I did not see anyone coming to open the store, before I called her. I tried calling her on her cell phone and the call did not go through. I tried calling her on WhatsApp. The call just rang. I called her back on her cell phone and she answered. She stated, “I did not sleep well last night. My tooth hurts. I have a 9AM appointment to see the doctor about my mouth.” I definitely let her know it is unprofessional and in poor service to schedule an appointment with a client and not show up
