Jennifer did an amazing job with my hair! I went from black to lavender and get TONS of compliments on it. I’ve always wanted to dye my hair lavender, but past stylists did not give me the look I wanted. After I showed Jennifer a photo of what I wanted, she was very upfront about the work required, the steps we would take, and the cost. She kept my best interests at heart by doing a gradient so my black roots will be more subtle when they grew out and never let me leave the salon unless my hair was perfect. I really appreciated the time and effort she put into making my hair look fabulous. I trusted her every step of the way. Highly recommend! Best stylist I’ve had in SF.

Run, don’t walk and book a haircut/treatment with the owner, Jennifer. She is not just a rad person, super fun, kind, caring, open and professional, she is also one heck of a hairstylist. She can cut like nobody else I’ve ever been to. Jennifer takes great pride in her work, is very focused and take customer wishes and concerns very seriously. She is meticulous and detail oriented. There’s not a single day where I don’t get a compliment on my haircut! Treat yourself to a great experience and book with Jennifer!!!

This review is for Aric, who recently took over Bells and Whistles, though his lack of professionalism makes it hard to tell. I would not recommend doing business with him. I visited to blend a few grays, aiming to avoid constant dyeing. I even brought a photo of a girl with dark hair and blended grays. Instead, Aric went overboard with highlights, turning my entire head blonde—nothing like the photo. When he offered to add lowlights, I declined, as my initial request had already been disregarded. While I remained calm and professional throughout, things escalated when I approached him about a refund. Hair so good that I got hit by a car while in a crosswalk walking home from my cut and the hair still looked great. The nurse triaging me at the ER even complimented it. Highly recommend the owner Jennifer. No idea who Aric is in the review below -- as far as I know Jenny has owned this for the last couple years and still does.
