Beyond The Mirror: The Fix Kailua

I have been going here for about 5 years. Never had an issue til it came time for bleaching and lightening to get desired color. I have a level 2/3 dark brown hair but when I came in, I was a level 8 (the hair colorist there told me). I showed her how light I wanted, which wasn’t much since I had bleached it myself to the desired lightness..ALL they had to do, was fix it meaning lessen the brassiness and even out the highlights. She checked my hair to make sure it was healthy then proceeded to tell me she will even out the highlights on the strands. She said she would add some lowlights, which I agreed to. She did NOT tell me she was adding dye to my entire head by doing each strand and then dyeing the roots dark!! She put in a couple of RED highlights??? And a couple baby blonde highlight

Worst hair experience of my life. Completely ruined my hair. I had brown hair and wanted to go blonde and Gizzele the owner explained it would take a year to do that so not to damage my hair, and I said ok. She spent 2 hours and 20 minutes putting in foils for a color correction and was visibly annoyed most of that time. When finished she said I needed more time to process and went in the break room and complained to people my hair was taking too long; she didn’t come back for 20 minutes. Now the foils in the back of my hair had been in bleach for 2 hours and 40 minutes!!! The whole time she was doing my hair she kept telling me that she is the best stylist and basically has a PhD in hair, and that you get what you pay for. I went to the salon with an other salon’s mistake. I was living outside of the country and they had dyed my hair very very dark. I was hoping that it was a professional salon that could help me with the color correction. Instead, I was met with judgment and rude stylist not only did they overcharge me, but I was treated like I had messed my own hair up. Even if I had messed my own hair up, I don’t believe that when you go into a salon and you spend $400 That you should be met with rude stylist, who judge your hair and treat you like your lesser than. I have never returned. The service was OK. My hair didn’t look anything spectacular and it was very expensive.
