If I could give 0 stars I would. To start she was 40 minutes late to my appointment. I asked for medium French curl braids with layers…..l left with thin, small braids that were 2 different sizes with the top layer in a bob and the bottom layer at my tailbone. The braids were not braided and I had multiple braids fall out when I left my appointment. I had paid this person money to basically play in my head for 4.5 hours. I went back and asked her to fix them because it was unacceptable and she still did a terrible job. There are braids that don't have enough hair, my natural hair is sticking out and they keep coming undone! This was after sitting in there for a total of 7 hours. This was the worst braiding experience I have ever had, I don't know if she doesn't know how to do French curl b

Since the passing of the original owner, the quality of Bintou African Braiding has dropped significantly. Unfortunately, the new owner has completely dropped the ball as the predecessor to her aunt. From the lack of accountability, tardiness, and low-quality work from some of her employees. I fear Life of the Bintou shop may be short-lived with her niece at the head. Twice I have allowed her to mend her mistakes and both times she has consistently let me down. After being a longtime customer at the shop, after wasting 400 in this shop. Unfortunately I feel like it’s time to find anothershop, that will do better work.

If you are thinking about coming to this place, don’t. After my sister had a horrible experience here, we decided to give them another chance. I obviously made the wrong decision. I wouldn’t be surprised if in the later years they shut down. The place is disgusting and needs new management. I’m done having people play my hair. They are entirely unprofessional. I had an appointment at 2, Magda, the new owner did not show up until 4PM. She kept saying she was “on the way” when she was clearly still at home. She also did not have the braiding hair for me and asked if I would LEAVE and get some. She said that she would provide the hair while I brought the boho. This was absolutely ridiculous. She did my hair but throughout the process kept leaving and not doing my hair. Too busy talking or doi

I am thankful for this stylist. My child experienced alopecia as an adverse reaction to a flu shot. The medicated shampoos and lotions did not help. To style her hair and conceal the bald spots, I took her to Bintou’s salon for the first time. My child’s hair grew back under the braids 🙏🏾 she no longer has any bald spots or patches.
