Blow and Go - Parkland

The hairstylists here are very knowledgeable, skilled, and attentive. They truly listen to what you want and do a great job. The only reason I continue to come back is because the wash and blow-dry process is quick and convenient. Unfortunately, the management runs the salon very poorly. There have been multiple occasions where appointments were made but the stylist did not show up. There was no follow-up or effort to resolve the missed appointment, and it feels like management does not prioritize customer service. The stylists are wonderful, but the lack of organization and accountability from management really affects the overall experience.

I went because it was close by and my usual person was booked. I had a wedding to go to and I brought my daughter too. First, when I made the reservations I asked how much it would cost for my daughter's up do. The quote that I was given was $69. $89 for the up do and $20 off if I brought my daughter with washed and dried hair. When I went to pay, they insisted that it was $89 even with her hair being pre washed and dried. My daughter showed the woman what she wanted and the woman said she couldn't do it because of the type of braids. We asked if she could do any braid and the woman said, "I guess." My daughter told her several times how she wanted it l, shiwed her a picture, and still it wasn't really the same. Then we asked if she could fix it a bit and the woman looked annoyed by this.

I hate having to give a star rating. I have come to this salon for at least 10 years (off and on because I moved away for 8 of those years). Every time I was in town I would book a blowout with Adele. Adele is great for me. She listens and always delivers on the style. I am looking for. My issue with this company comes in their customer service. I recently had a session after purchasing the new monthly membership. I was accidentally charged instead of them using my membership. This proves a problem for me since I am a govt worker not getting paid. They said they would fix it and I asked to have someone call me to ensure it was completed. This doesn’t even deserve half a star. There’s a reason this establishment isn’t five stars. I booked the appointment over the phone for my daughter’s homecoming, it was our first time going to get a blow out here. Over the phone call, not once did anyone ask if it was our first time and what kind of appointment we wanted because apparently there is a 30 min and hour long. Apparently we were booked for a 30 minute appointment, I only know this because I asked the stylist to pin my daughter’s curls and she told me she couldn’t because we had a 30 minute session and if it was a go long that she could’ve pinned her. The blowout itself was fine—nothing exceptional but got the job done. However, when it came to installing my extensions, there was no teasing or any prep to help secure the clips, so they ended up slipping out throughout the day. It was frustrating because proper teasing is a basic step to ensure extensions stay in place. Unfortunately, I had to keep adjusting them myself. I expected more attention to detail, especially for an add-on service. Wouldn’t recommend for extensions, but the blowout was OK.
