Blue Bamboo Hair Salon in Governors Village

I am underwhelmed with this salon. I received services on 3 separate occasions. Two services were highlights and one was a haircut. All were okay. Not great. Not bad. I will say that the stylist is the sweetest person ever and it pains me to write this :( The final straw was a haircut that I booked for my daughter. It was for a children's long haircut appointment. I think a 45 minute allotment slot - maybe 30 minutes. I thought this would encompass a wash, cut, and quick style. My daughter was so excited because she had not had her hair cut in about a year and this was a special back to school cut. We get there and was in and out under 10 minutes. Dry cut. No wash or blow dry. While we were there the next child client came in and was treated to a wash before before their haircut. I felt ru

I just had the most amazing experience at Blue Bamboo. I am undergoing medical treatment and needed some extra special care and compassion in making a big hair change. For me, my hair was so personal. I am so happy Kelly could walk me through this process with her sensitivity and incredibly caring nature. I love this salon - I go here regularly due to the very skillful stylists, warm environment, and online scheduling. But this appointment was a big one, and it was everything I needed. Alex was awesome. It was my first time. I told her my regular barber just had a kid and needed to find a backup. She made me feel welcomed and help me figure out how my hair should be cut. For guys if you like a barber cut she can do a great job. Friendly environment too. I’ll be back.
