Braids by jaaga

I visited this salon a year ago and had a pretty negative first experience with one of the stylists who was very rough on my scalp. I decided to give the salon another chance and I can confidently say I’m happy I did. I spoke with Jaaga, the owner, prior to my appointment and requested she be the one to do my hair since I heard good things about her quality of work and her attention to client comfort. Her level of communication with me was very thorough and clear. She made sure I was comfortable and adjusted if and when necessary. She finished my hair in less than half the time it took my old stylist to do it and she gave me beautiful braids that I am so so happy with. Jaaga and her girls were so welcoming. They got me and my step daughter in and out of there. I have a 6 month old daughter and she started getting so fussy towards the end and they even helped me out with her and she loved the attention and fell right to sleep. My husband was impressed by the braids and the price was very wallet friendly. I’ll for sure be back!

I won't go anywhere else. Jaaga and her staff always do an outstanding job. I especially like how she's so flexible. Sometimes I text her to ask for a same day appointment and she always fits me in. For box braids!!!

My first and last time at this salon unfortunately… here’s why. I booked an appointment via style seat and was under the impression it would be 4 hours. My appointment was scheduled for 12pm and I was in the chair until 8:45pm… that’s almost 9 hours of my day. I wanted shoulder length goddess braids, I was given beautiful braids that are down to my mid-back and was told that the curls I provided were “too long” though, as hair professionals, they should’ve known to cut the curls in half… halfway through the appointment, the hair was down to my bra… so I figured I was all good until the very end when they were very much longer than I expected. Not a huge deal but upsetting that I didn’t get what I asked for. Side note, I’m 24. So you can imagine, I’m Grown. Been getting my hair done for yea
