Customer Reviews
We had a lovely dinner last night. Brilliant service and gave us all the recommendations. Excellent Tuna Aguachile ceviche, seafood empanadas and Pork Arepas. Shared the Steak Mofongo for main which was amazing. Best meal we've had in New Orleans so far. Would have loved some Latin music or something! Felt it was pretty chilly too.
We came for brunch and were surprised to find it was not busy at all - especially since the food was so good! Nearly the whole menu is gluten free and celiac safe. The service was excellent- knowledge, attentive and expeditious. Vibrant decor and located right inside a hotel. We’ll definitely be back.
We were lucky to find Besame on a busy Saturday morning in NOLA when every popular breakfast spot had long lines. There was no wait, the service was attentive, and the food was fantastic—especially the vegetarian options. I had the chilaquiles, which were delicious (they can even substitute cashew crème if you’re dairy-free). The coffee was full of flavor without any bitterness, and their homemade hot sauce is a must-try—you won’t be disappointed!
We went around 1 on a Friday afternoon, so the lunch crowd had already disbursed. Service was quick and courteous. Atmosphere was quiet, but the decor was festive. Restaurant was quite clean and comfortable. We came based on the great reviews and the close proximity to our hotel. The location was unassuming (don’t miss it!) what we found was a gem that definitely should not be overlooked. All the reviews were not fake. We spent $100 which included 1 appetizer (ceviche negro our least favorite because one of us does not do spicy) and 3 tapas (we had one plate we took to go), 1 beer, 1 wine, and 20% tip. The best was the crawfish queso, which we put on our pork arripas. It was the perfect blend of creamy and savory (I was tempted to lick the bowl!) the empanadas we took to go. We will defini
Very friendly service and the meals were delicious! My husband and I tried the Pork Arepas, Steak Mofongo and Chicken Poblano. All dishes were so hearty and full of flavor. The Steak Mofongo was slightly smaller portion size than we had hoped, however, was still very tasty and satisfying. The Chicken Poblano was the stand out and highly recommended.
