C J Hair Braiding

I got there at 1pm, they washed my hair for free and two ladies worked on my hair interchangeably even when they had other clients. They finished at 8pm and they were nice enough to provide a ride for me when i didnt have one, so i felt welcomed and safe while in the shop.

This the 2nd or 3rd time I came for crochet, which is a protective hairstyle. Last time with a different stylist my edges came out. And most recently the owner did my hair. Both times my edges fell out. They braid waaay too tight. They will snatch them edges up if u let them! They always say, "let me know when i am braiding too tight". And i tell them. But then they do it again and u have to keep reminding them. I should have just left. My head was on fire and i had got a real bad migraine afterwards. I always like the finished product. I still tip them. They do a good job. But i can't keep putting my hair in jeopardy. I get crochet all the time because I hate to sit through individual box braids and boho braids. I have been going to CJ’s for the last four years. The service is always quick, neat and friendly. They often do my daughters hair and she always gets so many compliments afterwards. I recommend this shop to everyone I come across! The pics are from my child’s last appointment. Got the island goddess twist medium.

Details This was the most terrifying and unprofessional salon experience I’ve ever had. I went in for a specific braiding style, explained it clearly, but the owner (who was doing my hair) did it completely wrong. When I brought it up, she became agitated and short-tempered right away. She then left my hair half-finished to go work on another client—without saying anything to me. I was left sitting, confused, with my hair undone. It was my day off and my husband and I were just driving around. Little did I know that he was taking me to CJ's to get my hair braided! I had no appointment but they welcomed me and at different times I had 2 women working on my hair. They were so very nice and sweet. They braided fast too. It's been a few days and they're still a little tight BUT that's not a complaint. I have a new salon. Much ❤️ to the fabulous ladies at CJ's Braiding!
