I have VERY thick curly hair. I’ve had haircuts at some of the best MA salons, costing hundreds. I’ve done so much research on best curly cut spots. I happened to see people on a TikTok video all commenting to come to this salon for a curly cut. So I booked an appointment with Steph on a whim. I’m SO HAPPY I found her! This is the best cut I’ve ever had. I felt heard. She gave me layers that I’ve been begging other stylists to do for years. It feels light but we kept so much length. I barely made it out of the salon before I did this review. And Bernice gave me a wonderful hair wash, plus talked me through all the tips and tricks for maintaining my curly hair the best that I can. I can’t recommend this place enough, especially Steph and Bernice! Can’t wait to be back in 12 weeks!

Although we have had good experience with curly cuts getting a color service here wasn't the same. My daughter went in for a highlight and left with her hair uneven and dull on the highlights..We went back for Katerina to fix her blonde and make her highlights even but we left with an even bigger disaster. I do not recommend this place for color service. I will say that the owner refunded us the money for the color service which was $185 and I appreciated it. She apologized and was very understanding. The third and fourth picture is from another salon that fixed my daughters hair and knows what they are doing when it comes to color. It cost us $400 to fix it

I’ve been taking my daughter here for over 10 years. She hated her hair until we found Cala Rene and the Diva cut for curly hair. I now also have learned how to take care of curly hair properly. It’s never too late to learn new tricks. Highly recommend and can’t say enough about how excellent the service is as well as all the stylists!! 🙌🙌👍👍🙏🙏❄️❄️

Do NOT go to this salon if you want a proper balayage for curly hair. I have never been more disappointed or betrayed by a salon in my life, especially with how I was treated by the salon after the service. I was incredibly excited for my appointment for a balayage and cut, but left with stringy, completely unblended highlights. I have had balayages at other salons for a decade and was confused why the service came out like it had. In shock, I felt like I had to go through the motions so I paid and left. However, the more I sat with it the more humiliated I felt. I went to another salon that was recommended to me by family to get a second opinion and the stylists there were absolutely horrified. The new salon said it was going to take an entire day to get my hair presentable, and at least

I have been going to Cala Renee Salon for the past 7 years. So great to finally find a salon that knows curl hair. My hair is more healthy and happy now!! You learn how to take care of your hair, proper product application, and exposed to products that really work with your hair. Love all the staff and the salon has a welcoming energy. 5 stars all around
