Terrible for women’s haircuts. My hair is so much shorter than I wanted it. It was also longer on one side of my head after she cut it. I had to get her to make length corrections TWICE before leaving. You get what you pay for. If you are looking for an affordable place I recommend hair international instead. If you are the owner, you know who I am, please keep that lady to only men’s cuts!

I decided to give this place a shot based on the good reviews here. I walked in for a quick $25 trim. I wasn’t expecting a luxury experience at that price — just basic professionalism. I asked clearly, multiple times, for just 0.3 inches off. The hairdresser cut off about 2 inches instead. Before starting, she was smoking outside and didn’t wash her hands — just used hand gel, which didn’t feel very hygienic. She blow-dried my hair in a way that left it super frizzy. She didn’t seem particularly skilled, and communication was difficult as she didn’t speak very good English. I left feeling very frustrated and disappointed. I do not recommend.

Best barber shop in all of Boston! Carlos is super nice and exceptional at cutting hair!

Carlos Hair Salon is by far not only the best hair salon in East Massachusetts, but simply the best business here. You will get the best haircuts here at 1/3rd the price of anywhere else. I wish more businesses followed suit and provided as much care, excellence and dare I say love in their business/product. Do yourself a favor and never get another haircut again from anywhere else but here. Be sure to leave a healthy tip!

15 bucks (cash only) for a full cut and shampoo! The owner's been in business for 20 years, cutting hair for even longer. One of the best haircuts I've ever had, finally got it right.
