I had an excellent experience at Chelsea Wellness Spa. I booked a 60 minute deep tissue massage for $50, and it exceeded my expectations. My masseuse, Wei Wei, was very skilled and attentive, focusing on all my tension points and ensuring I left feeling completely relaxed. The spa is clean, quiet, and offers a calming atmosphere from start to finish. Cash and debit are accepted, and they even offer a discount when paying with cash, which is a nice bonus. The place itself looks nice and pleasant, but unfortunately the massage was terrible. It was extremely painful. We clearly asked at the beginning not to apply strong pressure, and even repeated it during the massage, yet the therapist continued to press very hard and it was very uncomfortable the entire time. On top of that, the therapists barely understand English, which made it almost impossible to communicate our requests. The worst part was at the end when we went to pay. We left a tip that we felt was fair, but they literally would not let us leave until we added more money to the tip. This behavior is completely unacceptable and extremely unprofessional. The place is clean and pleasant, but I didn't enjoy the massage. Be aware that they often don't use a timer and may end the session 10-15 minutes early. When I pointed this out to the receptionist, showing her my check-in and check-out times, she didn't apologize and still charged me the full price. I'm very disappointed, as I was hoping to find my local massage spot. Definitely not recommended.

DO NOT COME HERE! My experience with Chelsea Wellness was extremely disappointing. To start, the massage itself was far too rough. I actually left with bruising on my back, which should never happen after a professional massage. A massage is supposed to relieve tension, not leave you feeling injured. What made the experience worse was the technique. For a large portion of the massage, the masseuse was only using one hand, which made the service feel rushed and unprofessional, especially considering the price. On top of that, I booked a couples massage two weeks in advance, and one hour before the appointment I was told they could no longer accommodate the couples service. I booked a 60 minute full body couples massage for my boyfriend & I. The appointment was scheduled for 9 PM and upon arrival we were instructed to pay prior to receiving the service because they were “closing soon”. Although paying prior to being serviced was strange we paid anyway. Needless to say the massage was mediocre.
