Christal African Hair Braid

Do not recommend at all! My mom been going her for a while before she moved. My original braided was booked and I needed my hair braided so I came here. My appointment was at 8, I arrived 15 mins earlier. The lady didn't show up til 9. She didn't start on my head until 9:30. I was instantly annoyed. So after a month or so I had to go back for a retouch because my original lady does not go over other people work and that's fine. I went there and the lady is complaining about how much I took out that I wanted redone. She asked another lady to help her so she could finish faster and they lady said no she was taking a nap, and she did. That shows yall do not care about my time twice now. And they do not sanitize their utensils in between customers. But the parting she did for my touch did not

I've visited this salon a total of three times, hoping for a consistent and positive experience, but unfortunately, I've been left disappointed on each occasion, especially with one specific stylist. During my last visit, I explicitly requested two-strand twists and even showed a reference picture, which the stylist acknowledged. However, after about 10 minutes into the appointment, it was clear she was doing a standard retwist instead. When I brought this to her attention, I was told I should have mentioned it when I sat down, even though I did during the initial consultation. I ended up paying $100 for a style I did not want and am very unhappy with. The lack of attention to client requests is a recurring issue and makes it hard to trust this salon with my hair again. This is a very unsanitary braid shop I have ever gone to in Hampton Roads. The African ladies do not sanitize accordingly after braiding each customer's hair. I watched as they repeatedly use the same Combs, silver hair clips, blow dryer comb and brushes on each customer without proper cleaning. Here are a few pictures to show they do not have disinfected solution at any of their workstation, which further More prove what I am saying.

Very good experience. I normally drop my daughter off to get her hair done, but this time I decided to get mine done. This has been the first time ever that I have gotten braids that I wasn't in pain for several days. I will definitely be going here more often.

Ok. So I set a 9 am appointment sent the pic of what I wanted ahead of time and somehow on the day of, the hair conversation comes up. They don't have the hair I need for the style I sent and they ok'd before scheduling. Ok let that pass. So I get there at 9 am and there are at least 3 stylists in the shop who are all looking at me as if I walked into the wrong place after sharing that I had a 9 am appointment. So fast-forward I call my daughter to see how it's going at 11:30 and she tells me that she only has 1 row of twists complete after 2.5 hours at $220 mind you. So needless to say, I dropped everything that I had to do to get back to the shop to find the lady was literally starting the second row. Why only the second row after 2.5 hours? Because she stopped to braid two walk-
