Colon Salon

I found this old school family run salon by chance a few years ago. Great customer service, knowledgeable on products, hair types and styles. Regardless of where I’ve moved to, I come back to Colon regularly. My hair is healthier, longer and I appreciate that it doesn’t cost me an arm, leg and first born!

I am now 25 and have been going here since 17. Ive entrusted all my special occasions to this salon. Its located inside a building on the first floor. Make sure to ask for Marisol. Shes the owner and knows exactly what shes doing. As for the rest of the workers, everyone is truly nice and welcoming. I leave everytime satisfied. A must go! Oh and I almost forgot to mention the prices are unbeatable! My hair is curly and almost at my hips, for a wash/set and trim, 30 bucks!

Who ever wrote a good or great review about this place probably was trying to help a friend. I wouldn't recommend anyone who cares about the health of their hair come here. My daughters were over charged and still have patches that are growing back. Never again.

This is a major no-frills, non-descript hair salon on the first floor of a building on 145th. I was looking for a place around the neighborhood when I first moved here two years ago. While I knew nothing about this place, I took a gamble with this hair salon and hit jackpot! I’ve gotten a few of my haircuts in this place; pretty much the same stylish bob that everyone rocks these days. The owner Marisol gets it right every single time. I’ve only gotten haircuts and hair drying from her; haven’t tried other services, but I have not ever been disappointed with Marisol’s care of my hair. She’s super sweet and always accommodates me whenever I drop in.

This place is absolutely amazing, i been doing my hair here since i was 15 and now i am 25! Marisol is truly the best. I moved to New jersey and have tried other hair salons but no stylist compare to marisol. She really cares about the health of your hair so now i commute to New york just so marisol can do my hair.
