Such a sweet and friendly salon. Kim and the girls make you feel at home. My gel nails look amazing — shiny, even, and long-lasting. You can tell they put real care into what they do. Highly recommend!

If you are looking for consistency, quality, and a welcoming vibe in SF, Color Me Beauty is the spot. I’ve been coming here since I moved to the city four years ago, and they never miss. The entire staff is professional and incredibly responsive to what you actually want, but Kim is the absolute star. She is exceptional at her craft and is the reason I won’t trust my nails to anyone else. The prices are reasonable, the atmosphere is warm, and the results are always 10/10. A true North Beach staple!

Here’s the thing. Wendy is a great tech. It’s unfortunate that Kim isn’t. I’ve been there for gel and they excel at that. I should have reviewed before for that. That would have been fair. But alas, I tried their builder gel and was very disappointed. This is the end result after repeated attempts at having her try to fix them and point out obvious flaws. Lumpy, uneven and cuticles cut and messy. Wendy tried to fix it during checkout and offered to have me come back tomorrow but that would not for me-even so, the tip was for her but would not recommend. Stick to gel here.

Possibly the worst mani I’ve ever gotten, uneven everywhere, polish was everywhere, edges are like a kid drew it, there was a lot of polish on my hands that were cured already, I pointed it out many times and the nail tech literally used the sander to sand it off my skin. Not sure how it got the reviews it did and I definitely regret tipping almost 30%
