Congress Nails

I wanted to like them so bad since it’s a nail salon right across from where I live and the people working there are super cool but unfortunately I walked out extremely unsatisfied. I went in asked for French tip nails squared the African American lady doing my nails shaped them terribly and made the edges on my nails so sharp it hurts when I scratch myself. There’s also missing polish and the gel polish is already peeling and it’s been only a few days since I’ve got them done. The service took over 2 hours and it just felt very unprofessional. I kept my mouth shut and paid for the service and included a tip for everyone because that’s just how I am the lady who cashed me out then said “most people don’t even tip” which made sense since the service was terrible. Not really the best job done. 2 pedicures and 2 hours later they didn’t dry and really messed up. The lady I had didn’t really speak English very well so wasn’t understanding and messed my nail up when checking if it’s dry and just painted over it. Won’t be coming back.

They are under new management and it’s SHOWS! Great experience overall. They did not rush even though we came in late. Very gentle but effective and out French tips came out picture perfect. Shout out to Lou and Rey for saving the day! We will be back very soon!

The tech was sweet but worked very slowly. She only spoke Creole. There were women who spoke English to help. I am pleased with the service.

I believe her name was Laqueen who did my nails and she did such a good job, took her time, made sure I got exactly what I wanted, and was super sweet🥰
