Continental Hair Stylists

I came in for a trim and although the stylist Josefina was very nice and the hair cut was kind of cute it isn't at all what I asked for. I asked for a trim and the sides of my hair to be longer in the front. I ended up with a very short bob that comes about 2 inches above my shoulders and the front is about half an inch longer. Not much of a difference. During the washing process she started off rough, digging her fingers into my scalp, I should have known then this wasn't going to go smoothly. During the cut when I noticed she was cutting too much hair off I again repeated to her that I wanted my hair longer in the front, and she told me to just relax, but I must say that there was nothing relaxing about this whole experience. I cannot stand to look at my hair after this. I Absolutely hate this place. If I could give this place 0 stars I would . To say I’m livid, is not enough. Came here to have my hair ends trimmed even. my hair was 2 inches past my shoulders wavy with curled ends. I left with a lob 1 inch above my shoulder straightened. 3 inches of healthy hair cut by the owner. My hair grows very slow and it took me 3 years to get it at this length, so you can imagine my frustration when all of my hard work of eating hair vitamins, conditioning, hair mask. frequent trims, caring for my hair is down the drain. Not to mention my confidence shattered. Although everyone is nice that’s just not enough! If you’re looking to get your locks hacked this is definitely the place. It looks unkept and deteriorated. I only went in there for a quick haircut. I wanted a big chop. The price was affordable but the staff was bickering and unorganized. The first lady that attended to me was rushing me and trying to cater to multiple clients at the same time and then handed me off to a different person cuz she couldn't be bothered with just a haircut.

This is an old fashion Hair Salon. PLEASE do not come here looking for the latest in hair trends. The locals come here to have their do' did. The owner has regulars that have been coming here 40+ yrs. There are also a handful of Dominican stylists if you need that type of help. No hair braiding. But I get a simple , clean cut, quickly and exactly as asked w tip $20. They do offer dye & setting/straighting as well, although I do that myself. Prices are listed on the wall but ALWAYS ASK FIRST BEFORE SERVICE. Opens very early (8am) and on Sunday. Im glad Continental is here.

Needed my hair done on a whim and stylist, Alexandra did her thing with dying along with wash and set. She wrapped my hair st no extra charge since I brought my own pins. Another $5 for bringing my own dye.
