If I could give zero stars, I would. I’m a very disappointed mom after visiting Cookie Cutters Salon for the first time with my two daughters, ages 6 and 4. It was my 4-year-old’s FIRST EVER haircut, and it turned into a heartbreaking experience. Our stylists were Tina and John. Both did a terrible job. My younger daughter’s bangs were supposed to be kept longer—I specifically asked for no short bangs—but instead, they were cut extremely short, uneven, and choppy. Every time I look at her hair, it breaks my heart because she’s uncomfortable and frustrated with it. My 6-year-old asked for longer length, but Tina cut it much shorter than requested and uneven. She tried to “fix” it, but it only made things worse, and now her haircut is both short and lopsided. On top of the poor cuts, the sta

We got our baby’s first haircut (13 month old) with Ruben. We were very happy with everything from start to finish, though we did have to wait 15 minutes after our appointment time (understandable at any barber). Ruben asked if we had a cut in mind so I showed him a picture of something I found online. We have very limited screen time for our baby, but use it for lengthy car rides so we know he loves Miss Rachel. I let Ruben know that, and we did have some trouble getting it on the tv that our baby was sat in front of. The screen just wasn’t responding at all. I had a phone with Miss Rachel on prepared just in case and had that set on the counter, but Ruben was quick and got Miss Rachel on a screen close by and moved our little guy over to it. He was so fast, I didn’t even notice what he w

I am deeply disappointed with the experience of today’s visit at Hillsdale Mall. Last time I took my kid there, they didn’t do a good job either but I decided to give them another chance and chose a different professional. Unfortunately he did an even worse job than the previous person. My son left the place happy until he saw his dried hair in the mirror. The only thing left to do with his hair now is to use gel, to hide this dreadful haircut, until it grows back again! Last but not least, I wished I’d read the reviews about John, before handing my precious son’s hair to him, he cut it way shorter than the picture I showed him, and all uneven!!!

Worst kids haircut ever. Do you think this deserve $40? No! Was the hairdressers first day at her job I don’t know. It is so so bad. I had it lie to my kid saying it looks great not to hurt his feelings. Maybe people working there are nice but the quality is bad.

The good thing about the salon is they gave a lot of screens to keep kids occupied and they also have a slide which is a great thing when you wait. But the staff are not trained to actually work with kids , they don't know how to communicate with the children, in fact the staff member that cut my kids hair didn't even say hi to him. Luckily my son doesn't mind getting a haircut but if it's your child's first ever cut and they are apprehensive I wouldn't choose this place. Now to the haircut, I don't think I'll return here. The cut was wonky and it looked like it's been done with regular paper scissors. It wasn't horrible but it definitely didn't look neat. We went to another hairdresser the next day to correct the uneven cut.
