Cookie Cutters Haircuts for Kids - Santa Rosa (Mission Plaza)

We had a wonderful experience with Mandie during my 3 year old son’s haircut yesterday. I showed her a photo of the haircut style I wanted, and she understood it immediately! I didn’t need to explain anything further. She knew right away exactly what she was going to do. Mandie was incredibly patient and kind. Getting my son to sit in the chair is usually a challenge since he often says no to haircuts, but Cookie Cutters has so many engaging distractions that helped keep him focused and comfortable. Even though my son moved around quite a bit, Mandie remained calm, patient, and professional throughout the entire process. I love taking my son to get his haircut at Cookie Cutters. Recently we went in for a haircut and my son was not having it. I was stressed out by how he was acting. I think the stylists name was Jennifer. She was so nice. Also very reassuring that things like this happen sometimes. We ended up leaving without getting a haircut because my son was in a difficult mood. But the stylist was so understanding of the big feelings my son was going through. I’m beyond appreciative. Thank you for your understanding. Hopefully we’ll be back soon and my son will be in a better mood for haircut.

I had a very disappointing experience getting my son’s haircut with Cathy. She was not kid-friendly at all and seemed impatient throughout the appointment. My son was uncomfortable, and she didn’t make any effort to help him feel at ease. The haircut itself was not done well, and to make matters worse, she didn’t clean my son up afterward—there was hair all over his face and neck when we left. I expected much better care and professionalism, especially when working with children. Unfortunately, I would not recommend her for kids’ haircuts.

Jenna made my son’s first haircut go really well. No crying and was smiling at the end. He got a lock of his hair and before/after photos. My daughter also loved her haircut and the sprinkle of glitter to make her feel extra special. She was on a flat mattress to get her hair washed which was really nice. They have a cute play structure for kids and give balloons and lollipops at the end. Would recommend them.

This place works well for a simple trim, staff that’s great with kids, and some extras that make the experience fun. The stylist who cut my daughter’s hair patiently combed out her tangled curls, despite the fact that there was a line of people waiting behind us. She stayed calm, patient and kind.
