Coy's 71st Street Barbershop

Had to get a haircut. Normally my significant other does it for me. She was I'll for several days including blurry vision. No one would expect a self respecting hairdresser to cut their hair with compromised eyesight and/or impaired vision. I went to a small place on Memorial. Very reasonable pricing, the guy who cut my hair took his time and made sure I was satisfied. Try him out, you won't be sorry.

I called to make an appointment. Im female with a short fade. They said only one barber cuts females hair. Well Im asking for a straight up fade. I didnt know male and female hair was so different. They did ask if I wanted 2 set up appointment wit that barber. R u kidding me. I will never come here. Felt embarrassed

So glad to have found Juanita here. She's been cutting my hair for nearly 5 years and does a great job. Shop is so clean, barber's are friendly and location is convenient.

Very nice people. They only take cash or check. Haircut was okay. Classic barber style but doesn't have that old time barber feel. I would go back here but may not be my first choice.

It's 3:45 on a Friday, the business hours say open until 5 today but I walked in and the old lady looked at me and said "I'm sorry but we just closed" and I asked " you guys are no longer open unil 5 on Friday?" Her response was " we are but there's two of us here today and we both have a meeting so we are closing early". Well I have a meeting too. It's A WEDDING and now everywhere else is booked so this was my last resort and got denied. Thanks a lot I hope your meeting goes well! TURN OFF YOUR "OPEN" SIGN AND LOCK THE DOOR IF YOU ARE CLOSED OLD LADY!!!
