Cut and Shave Studio

I LOVE IT HERE! I've followed Mannix across three barbershops, and this is by far my favorite location. The ambiance is clean, calm, and friendly. As a queer/trans person, I feel comfortable and affirmed in the shop—Mannix takes the time to make it a safe space. The cuts speak for themselves and never disappoint. From coloring and fades to designs and skincare, I always leave better than I arrive, a great reminder of how therapeutic haircuts can be.

I’ve been with Al for over 10 years and it’s been consistent since day 1. Great vibes and friendly people! I still remember the first time I went in to get a cut and I was nervous but Al made sure I was taken care of. Since then I’ve been going back! Now that I moved to Brooklyn, I still make my effort to get my cut there and don’t plan on stopping!

Loved this place! it’s got a nice calming environment. This was the first time I had a man wash and cut my hair. Super nice and inviting! Talked for what felt like hours. First time I’ve been to someone and it felt like my 3c curly hair was seen and properly taken care of.

I went to this spa was with my friend. He has never been to a barbers like this before because of birth from London and they absolutely did a wonderful job. Julio did his hair but everyone in this studio was so accommodating I even witnessed a disabled lady in a wheelchair come into the studio to get her hair done and they did everything and anything to accommodate this woman so this studio is also wheelchair accessible. they have an amazing music playlist as well. I hope to come back to this studio again in the future when I visit New York from London.

I’ve been getting my hair cut by Julio for a while now, and he never disappoints! He’s incredibly friendly and always makes the whole experience enjoyable. Scheduling with him is a breeze, which is a huge plus. Most importantly, his attention to detail shines through in every haircut I’ve gotten. Highly recommend Julio if you’re looking for a reliable and talented barber!
