DAT Nail Salon

I’ve been going to DAT consistently for over a year and I’ve always had a great experience. I always get builder gel and it consistently lasts 4-5 weeks. Today I branched out from my usual French tip and tried a cat eye design I saw on Pinterest and Bella went above and beyond mixing the perfect color for me and it matched the photo exactly. Thanks Kat and team for always taking care of me.

Great place for a normal manicure, not for a Russian manicure. My normal Russian mani techs were booked so I came to DAT for a manicure. I’ve tried almost every Russian mani spot in the city and most techs take a minimum of 90 min due to the precision of the work. I was in and out in just under one hour, and this felt somewhat evident in the service I received. For starters, the nail polish was not cured one nail by nail — rather, all nails were painted at once, so they ended up lumpy as the polish migrated around before drying. The cuticle work wasn’t the best and this overall felt like an overpriced gel manicure. Not bad, but not worth $90. For this price, I’d suggest going to a place that specializes in only Russian manicures

The first two appointments went well, I was happy to have found a good place near home. However the third time and last was pretty disappointing. After two days my nails looked like in the picture. I sent a text to the salon waiting for them to offer to come by for free to fix them but it never happened. Definitely not coming back.

Need I say more?! They crush nail design here. I asked for a safari-theme ahead of a trip and they delivered. Thank you Jenna!!! 🤎

Kat is the best! She’s great at design and will make sure your natural nails stay healthy and long! I recently moved to NYC but still come to this nail salon any time I’m in SF!
